Managing a large number of items for a project can be daunting. Whether you track the purchasing of your own items and/or you use Designer Advantage's Expediting Services, DesignerLink 2.0 is here to give designers real time updates. Specifically with editable item status tabs, custom project views, and exportable product reports, designers can spend less time tracking and more time managing their other responsibilites.

Expediting Status vs. Item Status

- Item Status is a manual option for designers managing their own orders

- Expediting Status is non-changable item status that populates in real time from your DesignerAdvantage Project Manager's progress

When Managing Orders

- Use the Next Step Date, and then filter by today's date to know what has to be followed up on

- Take advantage of the Bulk Status Updates under the action dropdown

- Warehouse numbers and Vendor Numbers are going to save you a lot of time when checking for vendor updates, and preparing for installs

  1. Why is there a product report template named "Project Status Report" in my account?

    1. That standardized template is a good starting place for designers trying to navigate a Status Report. Feel free to use that to manage your items, or edit the filters, columns, etc. and resave it to another template that fits your needs better.

  2. Can I update the order status of my group item? And should I?

    1. If you proposed a group item to a client it might make sense to show the group item's status versus the components. With that being said, the only place to update a group item is from the project/item views. Select the group item, click actions, and "Update Status"

  3. Are the item statuses customizable?

    1. No, the status is not customizable. DesignerLink 2.0 offers over 25 options to accuratley describe the item's status via the drop down option.
