Welcome to the DesignerLink Client Portal. Allow your Clients to have access to and interact with all of their Proposals and Invoices for their Projects. From the Portal, they are able to view multiple Product Photos for Items and approve or reject individual Items on a Proposal.
Once access is enabled, any client who previously had access will be able to use the upgraded version. This upgrade applies universally to all applicable clients.

Granting Client Access to the Client Portal
On the Client record there is a checkbox to grant or revoke that Client's access to the Client Portal. Additionally, you can choose to show or hide Item Unit Costs from the Client Portal.
Once your client is granted view portal access you can see what the client sees by selecting the 'View Portal' button in the picture above.

"Publishing" Proposals and Invoices to be visible in the Client Portal
Each Proposal and Invoice Details section has the field "Published." When that field is checked that means that document will be visible in the Client's Portal (as long as they have access).
When an Invoice or Proposal is emailed to the Client from DesignerLink, the "Published" field is automatically checked.
What your Clients can View in the Client Portal
Viewing Invoices
Your client can view the Invoice PDF via the client portal for each Published Invoice.
The Total Invoice amount is visible in the Client Portal.
If you have electronic payments set up with your DesignerLink account, your Client is able to submit payment from the “Pay Invoice” button in the Client Portal.
Your company logo now appears in the client payment portal for a more branded experience.
Viewing Proposals
Client Unit Price is Visible in the client portal for each Published Proposal.
Your Client can now Reject Items on a Proposal. When Item(s) are Rejected, you will receive an email advising which Item(s) was Rejected and removed from the Proposal. The Item(s) Rejected from a Proposal can still be found under the Project in DesignerLink.
When your Client adds a Comment to a Proposal, you will receive an email advising you of the Comment. This Comment is also available in DesignerLink in the Proposal Details section.
If you have electronic payments set up with your DesignerLink account, your Client is able to submit payment from the “Make Payment” button in the Client Portal.
Your Client can access the Proposal PDF as well.- Items tagged as 'product photos' are visible in the client portal only if they are part of a published proposal.

Q: How can I see what my Clients see in their Client Portal?
A: The most efficient way is to email yourself a copy of the Proposal or Invoice from DesignerLink. You can then click the “Click here to access client portal” link in the email to view the Client Portal.
Q: What happens when my Client rejects an Item on a Proposal?
A: When your Client Rejects an Item(s) via the Client Portal, you receive an email stating which Items were Rejected from which Proposal. The Rejected Item(s) are no longer listed on the Proposal in DesignerLink, however they are still accessible under the Project. In addition, the item status will update in DesignerLink to show that the item was rejected. Please see image below.
Q: What happens when my client comments on a proposal?
A: When a Client adds a Comment to a Proposal in the Client Portal, you receive an email stating with the Comment. This Comment is also available in DesignerLink in the Proposal Details section.
