The Balance Due feature assists designers in customizing payment amounts for their client's invoices. For example, you might need to order 3/7 items from a proposal due to their long lead time. And rather than requesting all of the balance due for the entire proposal, you can edit the Balance Due to a specific amount.
In the below Best Practices, and Video Tutorial, we are going to show you how to edit your Balance Due in Designer Link 2.0. The bottom of this page also includes Related Articles and Frequently Asked Questions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why am I not seeing the balance due show on my proposal?
Each user is currently provided with a Standard Template. If you would like the Balance Due to show on your proposal/estimate, please ask our support team for the custom template.
Why is my amount not updating when I type in the custom Balance Due?
Reminder, that you must hit "Apply Changes" otherwise the custom amount will not update.
If my deposit was set at 50% for the project, does it automatically update the balance due to 50% of the invoice total?
No, if you would like to require the 50%, you will need to customize that amount in the Due Now ($) section.
