Creating Group Items

Informing users how to create Group Items (also known as Parent/Child Items)

Updated over 11 months ago

Group Items (or otherwise known as Parent/Child Items) are typically used by designers to show a single item to a client, even though it represents a number of components items on the backend. For example, a designer might show a "Living Room Couch" on a proposal/estimate to a client. However, the items needed to make that said "Living Room Couch" include the fabric, the couch, and the labor to upholster it.

In this Step-By-Step Guide, and Short Video, we are going to show you how to create Group Items in Designer Link 2.0. The bottom of this page also includes related articles and frequently asked questions.
