Informing users how to use their Item Tracker

Updated over 7 months ago

For our Expediting/Purchasing Services, you will notice an "Item Tracker" Tab when you click into your Project. The Item Tracker offers a clear and visual way to monitor the status of your orders that are being managed by your Expediting Team. Share these updates with your customers, providing them with a high-level and colorful overview of their order statuses, without having to create your own custom order status reports.

In the below Best Practices, and Video Tutorial, we are going to show you how to navigate your Item Tracker in Designer Link 2.0. The bottom of this page also includes Related Articles and Frequently Asked Questions.

BEST PRACTICES

Color Key:

Blue = In Process

Yellow = Damaged/Backorder

Green = Complete

Red = Cancelled

Using Filters:

When creating reports, it is best practice to give your team and/or clients the information they need most.

For Example: If you are directing your client on what is remaining for their bedroom, use the filters to only include the items in the bedroom and remove any items that are completed or cancelled.

Using Sorting:
Sort A-Z or Ascending-Descending for Expediting Status, Date Created, Item Name and Room Names.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. If I don't use Designer Advantage's expediting services, can I still have access to the Item Tracker?

    1. No. While you will still see the Item Tracker Tab on your project page, it only updates when used by the expediting team.

  2. Is there a way to edit the Item Tracker PDF report?

    1. While you can choose filters and sorting options, you cannot edit the actual PDF export. To make a customizable report with the notes, specs, and other columns, you can always download a version via the Product Reports page.

  3. How can I see the whole photo of my item from the Item Tracker?

    1. When you hover over the photo on the right hand side of your screen, you will be able to see a pop-up of the items entire image.
