My Profile

Informing users how to navigate their DesignerLink Profile Page.

Your Profile page is a great way to save you input time, staying in the know with ordering, and managing your team. The Profile Page will differ in it's capabilities based on your role within your firm. For example the head designer might be able to add users and manage time billing summaries, while a junior designer might only have the ability to input their time, if you think your permissions are incorrect, please reach out to our support team.

BEST PRACTICES

Edit Profile
This is where you can update your personal information like email, password and address.

Company Profile

Here you can determine the settings for Global Footers and Labels for your Client and Vendor facing documents.

The Proposal and Purchase Order label fields let you choose how these will appear on the pdf documents. Users can also add any custom verbiage, just start to type and you'll see the option to create a new label.

Notifications

You can access this page via your Profile or via the Bell Icon to check your Notifications for POs and Invoices that are awaiting your approval.

Quickbooks Setup
Here you can connect your DesignerLink Account with your QuickBooks Online Account, map your QBO IDs, sync records, and more.

Manage Users
The Account's Admin will have access to this tab in their Profile, the Admin can add new Users, update Permissions, and more!


There are two restrictions you can turn on or off for your employees:

  • Manage Users

    • With this permission, you can add/remove users on the account

  • Time Entry

    • If you have the restricted time entry, you cannot view/create project billing rates/invoices/time reports. Employees can still create time entries and log time, but they won't be able to see their rate, or any other employees.

Presets

Enter presets to use across all Projects to save your team time from entering repeat information for Time Entries, Items, and more.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. I can't login to my account, how do I get back in?

    1. You can click the reset password on your account, or reach out our support team and we can look into resetting or providing you any username information you need to get you back in.

  2. My QuickBooks is having trouble syncing, can you advise?

    1. Your QBO account might have became disconnected. Follow the steps in this article to connect your QBO account again. If it still does not work, please reach out to our support team.

  3. Can you advise on how we can update any warranty information we would like to include on our Purchase Orders and Proposals?

    1. Make sure to utilize the custom footers in the Company Profile Tab when editing your profile settings. This information will then automatically appear on each purchase order.
